Professional courses for the food industry: theory, lab, and AI tools we developed ourselves. Led by industry people who have already done it. Courses are taught in Hebrew.

Foodlab Academy is the training arm of Foodlab, a food product and technology development centre. We build short, intensive professional courses for food-industry people, courses that connect a theoretical understanding of the material with real work in the lab. You come, touch, make, taste, and understand why it worked, or why it did not.
Industry veterans. People who built production lines, solved quality crises in the middle of the night and brought products to the shelf. You hear from them what is not in the books.
The physics and chemistry behind the process. When you understand why the material behaves the way it does, you can solve problems instead of guessing.
In the Foodlab labs in Yakum, on the real equipment. Make, measure and test the limits of the material, including what happens when you cross them.
Tools we developed and use in our daily development work. Participants do not hear about them, they work with them.
Every course is limited to a small number of participants. That is a decision, not an operational constraint: in a small group everyone gets a workstation, everyone has time to ask, and every question gets an answer. It is also what makes it possible to talk candidly about real challenges from the plant: food safety, raw-material costs, and whatever came up on Monday morning.

Seats are limited and fill quickly. Registration closes when the group is full.

These are the topics we are building now. The list is updated, and our participants shape it.
Missing a topic? Tell us, it really has an effect.
Every course is built around the instructor and the topic. This is what it has looked like so far.
From idea to product
Led by Benny Peri · Innovation & technology manager, Apifit-Hadar
From raw materials to tempering and enrobing
Led by Haim Palgi · Former chief chocolate technologist, Strauss-Elite confectionery
We are building the next programme now. Want to join the next course, suggest a topic, or just hear more? Write to us.
We can build a course around the needs of your plant or R&D team, in the topic, scope and pace that suit you. At our lab in Yakum or at your site.
